There are a lot of predictions that you could make for the world of 2025. Computers and smartphones will keep getting cheaper, you will have better access to the 4G and 5G wireless technologies, the prices of medicines will continue to decrease, and the list goes on.
However, there are also questions that loom large. For instance, the rates of suicide and depression are rising all over the world and so are the rates of anxiety and dependence on prescription drugs. In this case, it’s very important to look at what is going wrong in the world and what we can do in order to help ourselves and others prepare for the future.
The most important thing that we can do is to come together and face the challenge of the future by creating a support system that lasts. This can be made up of family members and/or friends. This isn’t a new concept, but in an age of increasing alienation and compartmentalization of our lives through social media, it’s very important to have people that we can confide in.
All this may sound incredibly sappy and preachy to some, but it’s the truth. One of the reasons that the highest life expectancy rates in the world are seen in Japan is that they have a support system integrated in to their culture. Also, friendship and closeness with family has also been shown to influence higher rates of life expectancy and happiness.
In conclusion, make sure that whatever brings you together is positive. Don’t make drugs or alcohol, or even a night at the bar the reason for your socialization with friends. Make sure that you fill your life with meaningful relationships.
