A simple but poignant question: why am I here?
Is it truly to live life as it is, or is there a bigger purpose for your existence?
As an everyday man, you wouldn’t want to answer this question. Living life is difficult enough. You don’t need the burden of questioning your existence. However, your perception here is wrong. Questioning your life and existence is not a burden. In fact, it is an adventure that every person must go through, if they want to understand their importance, and the significance of their actions in a greater world.
And that’s what Michael Catt’s book helps us achieve. Having had the wonderful opportunity to read his book, The Power of Purpose: Breaking Through to Intentional Living, I couldn’t help but share my very own review with you!
Michael Catt’s book The Power of Purpose: Breaking through to Intentional Living is clever and eye-opening.
It breaks through our illusion of self-centered gratification and bares the stark reality of our existence. We are indeed God’s children. And we have a greater purpose if we only allow ourselves us to see it. We are so blessed and privileged to be living this life. In reality, we are blessed because we still have God’s love. But we are too warded against this vision because we are committed to living a life that only offers momentary satisfaction.
The book acts as a source of guidance for inspiration and forces us to focus on the truth – we are wasting every moment of every day griping and complaining about what we don’t have because we’re ignoring our faith, and the strength we can gain from it. The fact is; we cannot achieve spiritual contentment because we are seeking it from superficial circumstances and relationships, rather than through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The crux of the matter is, doing so – refocusing our efforts – isn’t as difficult as it can seem. Over time, we believers have made faith difficult to understand. We’ve created divisiveness amongst our peers and are focusing more on living a life that’s only looks perfect. Only by following the book’s example can we bring ourselves to understand the vision that was set for us, so we can let go of our worldly pursuits.
